Simcoelandic Autarian Development Corporation
Building Neurocultural Community in Simcoe County, Ontario
Welcome to SADC
Who We Are
The Simcoelandic Autarians are a Neurocultural community in Simcoe County, Ontario, transcending the traditional view of autism as merely a diagnosis to build a vibrant cultural identity.
Our Homeland
Simcoe County is our home—from Georgian Bay's shores to Lake Simcoe, from the Niagara Escarpment to the Canadian Shield. Our county is as beautiful and bountiful as any country.
Our Mission
We build community, provide representation, and create opportunities for Neurocultural individuals to thrive as part of Canada's multicultural mosaic.
Neuroculturalism: The Next Step
Neurocultural communities evolve from current thinking in Autistic and Neurodivergent circles. We view Neuroculturalism as the next step forward.
Not only can we develop our own communities and identities like Neurodiversity has done, but we can see culture, togetherness, and a homeland through Neuroculturalism.
Our Core Beliefs
- We're not broken—we build community to prove ourselves to the world
- If government cannot rescue us, we rescue ourselves
- Social and cultural legitimacy comes through Canada's multicultural mosaic
- Autarian culture fuses neurocultural aspects with regional and ancestral heritage
